The staff here is above average and that's a real compliment to them based on other movie theater experiences. The prices are a bit much for the movie experience they provide. It's the closest theater to me but I try to avoid due to the high cost.
Movie theaters should be family friendly and not budget busters. $75 for a family of 4 with a snack is not family friendly to the budget.
I have watched many, many movies at Randhurst Theater and enjoyed the property and management. Like everyone else find the price of snacks way above the actual value. A snack that can be purchased for $1 anywhere is $3.50 in the theater. Also, selection is limited. A cola the size of a bucket is not needed for the price of $4.50 ?
They only do reserved seating now. That sucks. Now it's hard to spontaneously see a movie because all the good seats may have been already taken.
The only problem we ever had was a really creepy, unkempt guy walking back and forth between the men's and women's bathrooms repeatedly. I had to use the bathroom so I had my husband stand outside in case something happened.
This has become our go-to AMC - far better than Streets of Woodfield. The theaters are much larger than Streets, so there is never a problem getting great seats. At first we hated the idea of reserved seats, but we have become accustomed to it. The last five matinee movies we saw set us back around $6.00 a ticket! Parking is never a problem, the ticket clerks are friendly, and the place is clean and visually appealing.
Where are the cool adjustable reclining seats? I thought they were in every AMC theater nowadays? What a let down. Theater was also too warm, and there was a hair in my popcorn.
